G.P.S. (GOD POWERED SALVATION)

But if from  thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find Him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29 KJV)

God wants to fulfill His promises to us, to help us to be all we can be in Him, help us fulfill our resolutions each year. God is also a jealous god and when we put other gods before Him, He is less inclined to help us. Only through repentance and forgiveness can we hope to receive all God has for us. There are no half ways with God; it’s an all-or-nothing proposal with Him. He wants you to give up all the false gods you put before Him. He’s not just talking about the gods of the pagans, but things you may not even think of as gods like; money, food, sex, alcohol, drugs, gambling and computer games, just to name  a few. Some of these may not seem to be false gods to you and used the way God intended they are fine, but when abused like the others they quickly move into that category. Anything used for other than God’s purpose is abuse and we put ourselves and the habit ahead of God. We need food to live, but we don’t need to overeat to love. We may need prescription drugs to help us through medical situations caused by other abuses, but to continue their use after the situation is resolved is to put the drugs ahead of God.

These drugs contain Sildenafil Citrate comical, which make them link buy cialis pills safer. This medication ought to be taken one hour preceding rx tadalafil sexual movement. The alcohol addiction rehab programs in California are medically proven to be result-oriented. “Do not drink alcoholic beverages while taking pfizer viagra mastercard the Kamagra tablets. One buy generic viagra pill for one day is enough a person should know before having the medicine including its effects. When will we, mere humans created in God’s image, acknowledge our humanness, the fact that we are finite beings? Only by turning to God, away from our sins and false gods, can we have any hope of achieving our goals. But, then again, whose goals are we aiming to achieve, ours or God’s? We should be striving to achieve God’s will; however, I’m thinking it would be safe to bet that most of us are working toward our own goals. When we rely on ourselves and our false gods, we can only be working on our own goals, for if we are working for God’s goals there is no place for sin and false gods.

This kind of reminds me of the GPS (Global Positioning System) in my car. Most of the times it is quite accurate and can get me to where I need to be. The times when it’s not so accurate, the cause is a human problem like it needs updated or I have input the wrong info. But besides those few times, in general it does the job.

Anyway as long as I follow the commands the GPS is giving I get to the proper destination. Sometimes though, I don’t like or I misunderstand the instructions. I decide to second guess the GPS, and I turn one turn to soon and end up in the wrong place or lost. Then I have to turn around and find my way. The GPS helps after my presumptive actions, but at least with mine, she helps with an attitude. She repeats RECALCULATING until I am back on track.

Our relationship with God is a lot like mine with the GPS. He knows the destination and supplies the directions and unless we take it upon ourselves and go in our own direction, we will reach God’s destination. Fortunately for us though, when we go in our own direction and turn down those streets of sin or introduce a false god; instead of developing a GPS attitude and recalculating to exclude us, God waits patiently and gently guides us back to the right road.

After making too many wrong turns and receiving GPS attitude, the time has come to follow God’s lead and actually let Him lead the way. Time to discard sin and false gods in favor of the one and only God who will save me. Time to dedicate my whole heart and soul to God, time to see the Lord. Time for God Powered Salvation.
