King of Malorn by Annie Douglass Lima

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this story. I had no trouble getting to know the characters or following the plot even though I had not read the other books in the series. The only problem I had with the story was that the author didn’t follow up on the queen’s rescue until the end of the book. Several times throughout the story I wondered what was happening to her. That being said I did enjoy following Kalendria, Korram and Jaymin as they escaped and journeyed to safety.
