This Lent: Q is for Letting God Quiet the Storms of My Life

He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!” The wind ceased and there was great calm. (Mark 4:39)

How many times do we travel through the storms of life in a panic and even contributing to and making them worse? Maybe we need to rethink this action. Maybe it is time to set it all at the feet of Jesus and pray. Pray for Jesus to Quiet the storms, to still the waves.

Time to find that Quiet place in our hearts and listen for the still small voice of God. He will Quiet the storm. Time to cuddle up in His large hands and let go of the worries, of the stress and let Him Quiet the storm.

My prayer for myself and you as we enter this most Holy Season, celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ is  Psalm 70:5:

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. May those who long for your help always say, “God be glorified!”

Let God Quiet the storms of your life. Amen.

All for the Glory of God,

Beautiful devotional. It’s amazing how much internal noise we filter during any given day.
