This Lent: C is for I am Called

I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg  you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, (Ephesians 4:1)

If ever I had a period of time when I felt reaffirmed in my calling from God it was this past weekend. I won’t go into details about what happened, but between responses to my Saturday posts and the music at Sunday’s mass and my best friend pointing out one of the lines in the song and saying that was me, I realized I was on God’s track.

We all have a calling and it is different for each of us. For me it is to write and share God’s word, for other’s it is to sing like my husband, and others it may be volunteering in the community or the church theater group.  I guess my point is we all have been given gifts and it is up to us to use these gifts to spread God’s word.

There will be times when we don’t see the results, when we feel as if we are coming up against everyone is against us. We are following His lead, that is all that matters. And then sometimes like my last weekend we are reaffirmed. We see God’s plan affecting others, we feel their gratitude and we feel God’s love.

Stay true to the path. God has Called you.

All for the Glory of God,

Chris
