This Holy Saturday: S & T are for Total Trust in our Savior

When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit. (John 19:30)

I sin, He suffers, makes the ultimate Sacrifice for me.

Yesterday we watched as Jesus made that Sacrifice. He died a grisly death on the Cross for us, for our sins. Yet we hold back, we hide in fear. Will we ever see Him again? Can we really Trust Him? Are we like Thomas and the other apostles who did not believe Mary Magdala when she proclaimed the resurrection to them?

The Suffering was so terrible, the Sacrifice more than my mind can comprehend. How could anyone, even Jesus, come back from that?

Wait, didn’t I see love in His eyes when saw His mother with John, when He looked on the fellow being crucified with Him? Didn’t I see the love for the women as he walked that final deadly path to Calvary? He never stopped loving us, through all the pain, the torture, even death. He loved us.

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?
