Y is for Yoke: Y is for Yukio and Gudrun

Y is for Yoke: How many times do we pick up the Yoke that we were never meant to bear. I know I do it frequently. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 11: 28-30 that if we come to Him instead of taking on the burden by ourselves that the load will be lighter, not removed completely but lighter because He will bear the burden with us.

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my Yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my Yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

Y is for Yukio and Gudrun/Magda: Yukio is the Governor of the prison island of Hyogo. After Gudrun/Magda the Mantion princess displeases her father King Shigeo by having a deformed half human/half Mantion child he sends her to the prison island to recuperate from the ordeal that Brandan has put her through. While there she and Yukio team up to create even more havoc in the lives of Joachim and Brandan.

U is for Ubiquitous: V is for Victorious and Vulkan Mountains

Our God is a Ubiquitous God. Through His Son Jesus we are Victorious in overcoming sin and death. God covers all our sins.

U is for Ubiquitous: V is for Vulkan Mountains: Asha is a Ubiquitous god also. He watches out for all the beings of Ramajadin. V is for Vulkan Mountains. The Cave of Kobata is located in the Vulkan Mountains in the Mantion country, Grilwood. Both Joachim and Brandan travel to this cave to meet with Sidramah and each has a very different outcome. The cave is the seat of evil.

T is for Thankful; T is for Theodric

T is for Thankful: I have so much in my life to be Thankful to God for. I could easily get bogged down in all that is going on, but instead I choose to be Thankful and praise God everyday for the gifts He has given me.

T is for Theodric: I have already mentioned him this month, but now is the time for the formal introduction. King Theodric is King of Crato. He is married to Queen Lilia and father to Prince Joachim and Prince Brandan. He is unwittingly caught up in a love triangle with Waldrom and Lilia which starts the tale of evil and woe, but only plays a small part in the overall plot of the book. King Theodric is the good to King Waldrom’s evil.

S is for Sad; S is for Sanctuary of Nine Dragons

S is for Sad: Today as I write my posts and am excited about things that are happening in my life there is also a little Sadness on my heart. Today my oldest daughter and granddaughter moved out to start a new life with her husband in California. In very many ways this is a good thing. It was time for her to move on, to get her own life, to launch. But my mother’s heart is sad. She was my baby girl. We have been through a lot together including the birth of her daughter. I am happy for her and thankful to God that she has found a wonderful man with which to share her life and help her in raising my granddaughter and I wouldn’t want anything different for her. However as she drove away this morning her and I both realized that unlike the other times when we have separated, this time God willing she will never live under my roof again. All the fighting and the tension that has ensued over the years seemed to fade away as her car pulled out of my driveway and took a little piece of my heart with her.

So with a sadly, joyful heart I close the door on the past leaving a little window open so I may gaze back and remember the good things and I go boldly into a new future embracing the possibilities. Thank you God for my daughter, Katie and my granddaughter Andi. Watch over them and protect them as I let the doves fly from the nest. I love you my beautiful girls.

Lest I forget, I still have Ana at home and am looking forward to moving closer to my sons, their wives and my other two granddaughters, this summer. I love you all.

S is for Sanctuary of Nine Dragons: Sanctuary of Nine Dragons is Asha’s City, a place for peace and retreat and sanctuary. The dragons, Myrria, Alorn, Dryas, Stefano and Cielo gather there with Asha. In the third book of the trilogy like the two palaces in the first two books, becomes the focus of the book. A lot of what happens takes place there as Joachim and Brandan are forced to face the consequences of their actions. But you have to wait until you read the first two books to see what those actions are.
