Let Me Rest in Your Arms

We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

I am weary. The maelstrom of the world is overwhelming me. Where is the peace, where is the quiet? I turn to the things of the world, but they turn there backs and laugh. They offer no peace only more confusion and disarray. I turn inside myself, but still find no peace, no solace, no comfort.

Where can I turn, in this time of storms? I turn to God, to prayer, the the Bible, God’s word. He offers the solace, the peace. He embraces me and calms the storms of life.

The world lures me out again, only to give more storms, more unrest. I scurry back to my stronghold in God. For only there will I find the peace and comfort I seek. The tides of the world are against me, but here in God’s arms I find rest.  I am strong with God at my side. I can face the battles when I let Him lead. God is my fortress. God is my Home.  With Him I have it all.

Most powerful and merciful Jesus, let me find rest in your arms. Let me find peace, a place to rest my head, to soothe my worried brow. Show me how to let go of the world and trust you implicitly. Lord show me how to be your humble child. This I pray in the name of your beloved son, Jesus. Amen

God Bless,

Chris
