Book Review: The Jesus Inquest By: Charles Foster [[ASIN:0849948118 The Jesus Inquest: The Case For and Against the Resurrection of the Christ]]
When first seeing this book on a list for review I thought what a wonderful opportunity. I like to think that although I have a strong faith I am also open minded and willing to hear what other people think.
Although the book has a promising premise Mr. Foster’s arguments left me at times feeling like I was a fool for my faith in Jesus and all that occurred in His life. Then is when I put the book down and could not complete it.
I realize that Mr. Foster attempted to present both sides of the argument, but I feel as if his arguments appeared biased in favor of all the things that I have believed since childhood are false.
This was a very difficult read and I apologize to Mr. Foster for not finishing the book, but I am not ready to turn my faith over to the secular world.
I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255
